Nikki Sivils "Summer" Happy Birthday Cards

Hello again!

Here are my last creations using Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker's "Summer" collection. I made two (2) birthday cards from what's left of the papers, and what makes me giddy about these is that one's pink (girly) and the other one's blue (boy). Teehee! :D

TGIF!

Materials used: NSS Summer patterned papers, white cardstock, EK Success happy birthday stickers, Bo Bunny flowers, Ranger liquid pearl, Ranger distress ink, Martha Stewart puncher, Shabby Green Door twine, local leaf, brad, ribbon and buttons.

Just Chillin'

Hello! I'm back with another Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker "Summer" collection layout, this time using a sketch from Get Picky's January Sketch Challenge #16:

Banners are back! I honestly can't get enough of creating these lovelies, tied together with twine and NSS burlap buttons. :D

My journaling detail, with ribbon twine and NSS warm cord brads in brown.

Lastly, I used NSS Tree Love alpha stickers for the title and another NSS green cord brad as accent for the camera. :D

Cheers! :D

We Love Summer

I just love long weekends. Today is a special holiday here due to the Chinese New Year. So I took the opportunity to run (a lot of) errands and after that, I have the rest of this three-day weekend to enjoy scrapping!

Here's a page based on Stuck?! Sketches' January 15th challenge:

I'm also on a Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker product roll this weekend, as I was able to create 2 LOs and 2 cards using her Summer collection. Woohoo! I looove NSS products!

I spent the whole afternoon cutting these cute images in creating my layouts and cards.

That's it for today. Tune in next for my other creations using NSS' Summer line.

Kung Hei Fat Choi! :D

Thinking of You (Card)

I read about the latest challenge at the blog of one of my fave scrapbooking brands, Nikki Sivils, and of course, I participated. :D

The challenge, scrap a size you don't normally scrap.

Instead of the usual layout, I created a card. A circle-shaped card! :D

Now, my usual cards' sizes are either square or rectangle. So this one's truly a first! :D

I used the following NS products: patterned papers from Blueberry Hill, We Are Family and Beatrice collections; journaling spot, warm cord brad and burlap button.

Other materials used are white cardstock, local lace and leaves, AAS wooden butterfly and craft wire, Ranger liquid pearl, stickles and distress inks, Martha Stewart puncher, chipboard frame, acrylic paint and hand-made lace flowers.

The two white lace flowers with green brad in the center are my hand-made creations, by the way. :D

In addition, the three-layered flowers (light orange, violet, dark orange) were among the pack of flowers that I won during a Nikki Sivils scrapbook class held in our LSS, Lasting Impressions. This prize, according to NS DT Ria Mojica, came from Nikki herself. So, in a way, this 3-layered flower also makes it a NS product. Hehehe. :D

A close-up on the sentiment, "Thinking of You." I created this card for my bestfriend, Rowena, who's currently based in Bangkok, Thailand, for her birthday this coming October 29th. I hope she receives this in the mail in time!

Before I end this post, please notice the little beaver inside the frame. I just find her sooo cute. LOL

That's it! Gotta go!

Enjoy the weekend. :)

I ♥ Dora

UPDATE: Chosen as a fave again! Yahoo! Thanks!!! :D

Yehey! I was able to create this layout of my niece and her fave stuffed toy, dora the explorer, in time for Sketchy Thursdays' 6.23 challenge.

The patterned papers used are all from Nikki Sivils' Beatrice collection.

Here's the sketch on which I based my LO:

See that big "title" required of the challenge? Luckily, I had these large alpha chipboard in my stash! I first primed the alphas with gesso, then painted it with red acrylic. Afterward, I finished it off with Judikins Diamond Glaze.

On the other hand, the scalloped chipboard with holes was painted with a combination of yellow and orange arcylic paints. Sprayed with Maya Road iridescent pearl mist, then finished off with Ranger distress stickles. Then I put gold blings in the center of each hole. Whew! Loved the result! :D

The big black heart is a Colorbok sticker, while the smaller heart with flower on top is a Jolee sticker.

Of course, a little girl-themed LO should always have clustered flowers. :D

Enjoy the rest of the week!

Materials used: Nikki Sivils Beatrice collection patterned papers; Shabby Green Door baker's twine, Ranger distress stickles; Maya Road iridiscent pearl mist; All About Scrapbooking ribbon, gold blings, chipboard alphas, netting and brads; Judikins Diamond Glaze; Colorbok black heart sticker; Jolee's heart sticker; gesso; acrylic paints and flowers from my stash.

Chubby Cheeks!

It's been a rainy week here in the Philippines! :D

Anyway, I'm back with a new layout based on Scrapbookers Anonymous' latest June challenge posted here, which called for using at least 3 sheets of paper from a mini paper pad to create a layout.

For my entry above, I was able to use a total of 6 sheets of paper from the 6x6 mini pads of Nikki Sivils' Blueberry Hill line.

In addition, I also used the following Nikki Sivils' products: We Are Family border paper strips, cardstock stickers and alphas; burlap buttons, warm cord brad (brown) and the journaling tag from the brad's packaging.

As always, here are some close-ups for you:

These are photos of my little boy when he was just two months old! Now he's an active three year old toddler. How time flies!

Here are the main papers used together with the central focal subject:

The main papers were then duplicated into mini versions and placed in the upper left and lower right corners.

Lastly, I used these cutie round cardstock stickers and attached foam tape on them for added dimension:

Other materials used on this LO are Ranger Liquid pearl (gold), Tim Holtz distress ink, flowers and twine.

The rain's still pouring so hard as I type this post. Nevertheless, it won't dampen my mood to scrap some more!

Hope you like what I shared today and thanks in advance for the love!

Happy weekend! :D

A Very Happy Day (Card)

Here's a third card that I was able to make last weekend. Materials used were from the scrapbooking class which showcased Nikki Sivils' We Are Family line.

I cut out this group of kites and used foam tape for that added 'pop' effect.

Ranger Liquid Pearls in white opal were applied to create the dotted outline border on the blue cardstock base, as well as on the sentiment.

Sweet Summer

Here's the fourth layout that I mentioned in my Nikki Sivils Day post. I decided to make my own 4th LO, instead of scraplifting the one presented to the class. :D

I used patterned papers from Nikki Sivils' Tree Love and We Are Family collections, as well as the brown burlap buttons.

My cute kite. I applied liquid pearls to the zigzag lines for added dimension and attached baker's twine.

Nikki Sivils Day!

Last Saturday, together with my colleague, Flor, we attended a scrapbook class which featured the "We Are Family" line of Nikki Sivils. NK DT gal, Ria and fellow Pinay scrapper, Pia, both taught the class.

We created four LOs, but I'll only feature the 3 LOs in this post. The last one deserves a solo post. ;)

Big Boy: I won a Nikki Sivils gift for this! Woohoo! :D

All In The Details: my little one, the serious reader. :D

A Dad's Life: hubby and our son having fun in the playground.

Hope you likey! :D
