Let's Play!

Woohoo! I was able to finish this LO in time for Sketchy Thursdays' 3.03 challenge deadline! :D

Photos of my two-year old toddler during our vacation in Baguio, the city of pines up north, last year.

All patterned papers used are from My Little Shoebox' Green collection.

Other materials used: DCWV cardstocks, Martha Stewart punch-around-the-page and edge punchers, Jillibean Soup corrugated alphas, All About Scrapbooking ribbon and puffy stickers, Tim Holtz distress inks, MM photo turns, Magic Mesh, acrylic paint, brads.

The Sketch:

Some close-ups and details:
Painted the sides of the Jillibean Soup corrugated alphas with green acrylic paint. Oh, I didn't mind the splotches in some letters. I'm staying true to the LO's title, so while creating the layout, I'm also playin'! :D

Enjoyed cutting the trees, mushrooms and snails. I love these puffy dragonfly and flower stickers too!

Look! I put googly eyes on the snails! Love 'em! :D

So love the orange and yellow Magic Mesh given by my officemate & fellow scrapper, Ems.

My journaling note: Manor's beautiful and wide garden became your one big playground! :D Camp John Hay, Baguio. June 2010.

Adore

Another layout, using My Little Shoebox (MLS) patterned papers. The subjects are the two most important people in my life, my husband and son.

I am also entering this in MLS' current challenge, using the sketch below as inspiration:

My Layout:

MLS Sketch Challenge:

Some close-ups and details:
I used the words in Nice to See You pattered paper for my journaling detail. Matted the words in BG's dark brown paper to make the words stand out, and double-sided foam tape for added dimension. I also "fussy cut" the little birdies in Love Birds pattered paper. I looove how this turned out! :)

Another close-up, from another angle, showing my "fussy cut" mini birdies and trees! Love it!!!

MLS products used:
Sky's the Limit collection (Nice to See You), Flying High collection (Flying High), Away We Go collection (Vroom), and Whoo Loves You? (Love Birds).

Other materials used:
Jenni Bowlin bingo card, Prima flower and blings, Basic Grey patterned paper, Maya and Glimmer mists, Martha Stewart puncher, Heidi Swapp distressing tool, kraft cardstock, local decorative mesh and felt tree.

I hope my layout gets chosen. LOL!

Please do leave some love in the comments portion. :)

Happy Sunday and thanks for looking!

Welcome Back!

Here's welcoming myself back to the blogging world!

I started my first blog in 2004 to document my wedding preps. However, after becoming a mom in 2008 and my little one became my 24/7, I decided to delete my first blog since I was unable to post updates for several months.

Enter 2010 and I'm not only back to blogging (finally! after several friends insisted that I blog again), I'm also back to my other "love"... SCRAPBOOKING!!!

There's a blog hop going on at My Little Shoebox and coincidentally, I just created a layout using MLS papers using their "Away We Go" line! Haven't taken a photo of it yet, so I'll just update this post in a while.
