Card - Friend

Just a very quickie post.

I was able to create this card (and a 12x12 layout) over the weekend. Yipee! :D

Instead of spraying the Maya Road iridescent pearl mist, I painted it on the black cardstock to get that midnight dreamy effect. Love it! :D

Did a lot of fussy cutting on the flowery branch and put Ranger Liquid pearls in the middle of every flower. Those two ribbon flowers with crystals, on the other hand, were among my DIY creations.

Materials used: DCWV cardstocks, Colorbok patterned papers and stickers, Ranger liquid pearl, Maya Road iridescent pearl mist, EK scallop puncher, Martha Stewart decorative edge puncher, Prima crystals, local ribbon and paper cord.

My two boys (hubby and son) are still recuperating from cough and colds. Fortunately they're on the road to recovery.

Gotta go! :D

P.S.
Photos above were taken using iPhone4. Nice and clear, huh! :D

You and Me

Lesson learned: creating a double-page layout is such a back-breaking activity! Haha!

Argh! 'Twas so hard to strike a balance in making two 12x12 pages. The title, photos, patterned papers and elements. I also didn't follow any sketch to guide me so that makes it doubly hard. I'm not sure if I did justice on this LO. *sigh*

Looks like I'm taking this hobby to the next level, way too seriously. LOL!

Anyway, I still want to share this here because the subjects are the two most important men in my life. *woot, woot!*

Patterned papers are from Colorbok. I have lots of Colorbok scrapbook stuff courtesy of a US-based aunt. If not for her, I wouldn't have access to these yummy scrapbook items! Thanks, Aunty Banny!
