Scrap That January Kit: Treasure These Moments (Part 1)
Yes, I finally got to scrap again! Woohoo!
Here's my first creation out of Scrap That's January "Don't Stop The Carnival" kit. Yes, I know, I am that late! LOL.
Oh, I fell so much in love with this kit! My hands are still itching to create some more, but alas, we're going out-of-town for the long weekend.
All materials are from the kit, except the little pink flowers, Hambly transparency, corrugated board and ribbon laces.
I am also entering this in Get Picky's April Sketch Challenge #7:
Here are some close-up shots and details of the layout:
I cut out the banner and used it on this LO. I also added some ribbon flowers as accents to the bird cages.
Fussy cut this intricate design, added a butterfly, Hambly transparency and created the frilly lace on top.
I looove Judikins Diamond Glaze! I first sprayed the bodyform chipboard with glimmer mist, then topped it with the glaze. It was like watching it magically transform the chipboard!
Finally, I was so happy with the result of my clustering effort for these embellishments:
That's it! Gotta pack for tomorrow's R&R!
Thanks for the love! :)

Little Boy
This is my last creation out of Coordinates Collections' January Amish Quilt kit, featuring Cosmo Cricket's Circa 1934 line.
My layout was based on Sketchabilities' #44 sketch challenge:
The photos on this LO are of my little boy, taken last year when we spent our vacation somewhere up north. He just woke up and was still in his pajamas when I took these photos, hence my journaling: "bagong gising" which translates to "just woke up" in English.
I love the dimensional effect that baker's twine creates on a layout. Also, it helps fill out negative spaces. :)
I actually made this LO with a long title in mind, i.e., "A Day in the Life of My Little Boy." It's such fun using Cosmo Cricket's tiny type letter stickers! :)
These word stickers were also taken from the tiny type alpha sticker set. The adjectives were a perfect fit to describe my little boy.
Journaling reads: "Bagong gising" (Just woke up). Manor Hotel, Camp John Hay. Baguio City. June 2010.
Have a Blessed Sunday and TFL. :)
Materials used: Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 patterned papers and cardstock stickers. Cosmo Cricket tiny type letter and word stickers. Martha Stewart punchers, Magic Mesh, Shabby Green Door baker's twine, Making Memories decorative clip, Tim Holtz distress ink, Prima flower, My Mind's Eye journaling card. DCWV cardstock. Local foam alphas, leaves and cord.

Card - Hello
Hi there! Just another quickie post.
I made a card this time, out of Coordinates Collections' January Amish Quilt kit, featuring Cosmo Cricket's Circa 1934 line. I still have enough materials left out of the kit to create a third 12x12 layout.
It's a simple card with a simple sentiment, ("Hello"), that can be used for any occasion, and I plan to send this to an overseas-based friend for her birthday next month.
The glossy white cardstock was sprayed with Tattered Angels glimmer mist in spanish moss. The felt alpha stickers are from AC Thickers.
Enjoyed creating this triple layered medallion. Distressed the edges and added baker's twine and pearl brad in the center:
Double layered punched edges, which were also distressed:
Thanks for visiting and thanks for looking! :D

Meant To Be
Yahoo! Finally, after two weeks, I was able to scrap again!!!
This is my 2nd 12x12 page creation from Coordinates Collections' January Amish Quilt kit, featuring Cosmo Cricket's Circa 1934 line.
Speaking of CC, I was so sad upon reading that it will be closing shop. I have loved their kits ever since I got hold of their October Black Magic kit when I won in one of their challenges. I hope the DT gals will think of something new to continue the blog, online forum and store.
I used Creative Scrappers' sketch 147 for this layout:
Here are some close-ups on the LO's details:
My title is, traditionally, suitable for couples. But I am not one to be limited by conventions. I always love it when I'm able to think outside the box, to go beyond my comfort zone.
My title-cum-journaling for this LO:
Handmade ribbon flowers with Prima pearls for center, and Maya Road floral pearl stick pins:
Cosmo Cricket's cardstock stickers from the Circa 1934 line, with baker's twine from Shabby Green Door:
Triple punched butterflies from Martha Stewart monarch butterfly puncher, copper wire antennae, local blings, baker's twine:
This is a Prima doily clear stamp:
Lastly, I layered the papers, cardstock sticker and ribbon to serve as the photo's base:
